Catalyst recycling since 2006

Ecotrade’s history

who we are

Established in 2006, Ecotrade recognized the growth opportunity in Asia for the recycling of catalytic converters and quickly invested in the equipment to handle catalytic converters on-site in Thailand. Since, we have continued to invest significantly by setting up factories and offices in Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Jakarta (Indonesia) and Bordeaux (France).

We have acquired a great deal of expertise in the recycling industry and earned a solid reputation for our professionalism, honesty and transparency. Our sampling methods are fully approved by the Industry’s leading authorities and we can now offer a full range of services, including analysis, cutting and refining of all models of catalytic converters and diesel particulate filters.

Now the company is the largest purchaser of catalytic converters in South-East Asia and develops its operation in Asia, Europe, Australia to pursue its growth.

The catalysts recycling market

what we do

Since its introduction in the early 1980’s the catalytic converter has been the mainstay of environmental protection in the motor industry through its ability to reliably and effectively reduce noxious tailpipe emissions. As a result of government legislation it is now a required item on each and every new vehicle. At its heart, the catalytic converter contains significant amounts of PGM’s – platinum, palladium, and rhodium – all of which are recoverable after the life of the converter.

For every stage of a transaction, from preparing a firm and tailor-made offer through to the trading of the recovered materials, we have all the expertise in-house, including a collection service from clients’ locations, wherever they may be in the world. We deal with several refineries and for each consignment we work with those that provide the most efficient return for specific PGM’s, thus ensuring the best financial return for our customers.

Protecting the environment

environment-new

Catalytic converters exist to reduce the amount of harmful emissions from gasoline engines, providing the means for motorists to drive in an environmentally responsible manner; their recycling is both financially beneficial and environmentally important.

The metals contained within a catalytic converter are precious because they are rare, and as the world has become increasingly aware of the drain on the planet’s natural resources, the technical know-how for the recycling of all scrap catalytic converters has developed, leading the way towards a prosperous and sustainable future.

Ecotrade possesses state of the art technology, together with efficient logistics and administration, to ensure the best possible return from the recycling process. Our high recycling rates are second to none and we pride ourselves on making valuable contributions to a sustainable planet.
